On-Boarding Steps for New Temporary Faculty

For your ease and convenience, all new hire documents may be completed electronically using the  encrypted Adobe Document Cloud.  A few documents require wet signatures, but you will complete them electronically.  The Center for Human Resources will print these for your review and signature when you come to the Center for Human Resources to finalize the pre-employment process.  You will receive a link via email to initiate new hire documents. You will be asked to sign a letter acknowledging receipt of this information. After signing your new hire documents, you will receive a confirmation request via email with a link that you must click to confirm your electronic signature.  Confirming your electronic signature will complete this step and route your documents to the Center for Human Resources.

You will receive a separate email from Accurate Background ([email protected] com) to start the electronic I-9 form.  Please complete the first section; you will need to have your identity and employment eligibility document(s) available to do so.  You will also need to present the original document(s) you use to establish identity and employment eligibility to a Center for Human Resources representative to finalize the pre-employment process.

To finalize the pre-employment process, you must visit the Center for Human Resources on or before your first day. The office is located at 5701 Hardy Avenue, on the 4th floor of the Extended Studies Center. It may be helpful to view and/or print a copy of the campus map.  To obtain a parking permit for your first day, you may purchase a one day permit on campus for $10.00 from pay machines located in PS 3, 7 and 12, lots 6B and 10 and the Information Booth located at the corner of College Avenue and Canyon Crest Drive.  Please remember to bring your identity and employment eligibility document(s) with you. For the purpose of facilitating Social Security Number and name verification for tax reporting purposes, employees must present their Social Security Card or alternatively, information necessary to conduct verification via the Social Security Administration’s Employee Verification System.  When you arrive at the main desk, let a representative know that you need to finalize the pre-employment process. The process should take less than 15 minutes.

Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact the Center of Human Resources at [email protected] or by calling 619-594-6404.
